Extra credit is available on some of the homework assignments for using Mathematica to solve certaing problems. The following links can be used to obtain a copy of mathematica and to get an introduction to the use of Mathematica:

• A basic introduction to and an appendix of Mathematica commands from Gerd Baumann's book "Mathematica for Theoretical Physics".

Acces to various mathematic notebooks:

• Adding Matter Waves (discussed in Lecture 4, Chapter 3)
• Motion of a Free Particle (discussed in Lecture 9, Chapter 6)
• Solving differential equations (used in homework # 6, Chapter 6)
