First course of a three-course physics sequence for science or engineering majors. Topics studied include motion in one, two, and three dimensions, Newton's laws, work and energy, conservation laws, systems of particles, rotations, oscillations, equilibrium, gravity, and thermodynamics. In addition to the lectures, there are weekly work shops and bi-weekly laboratory experiments.

This course meets every Tuesday and Thursday between 12.30 pm and 1.45 pm in Hoyt Auditorium. See you there!
