Motion

The topic of this Chapter is the understanding of motion. We have already explored how a graph motion in the experiment we carried out with the motion sensor where we looked at the time dependence of the position of an object. In this Chapter we will look at other parameters that are often used to describe motion, namely velocity and acceleration.

Experiments

  1. Understanding motion I: Position and Time (motion sensor).
  2. Understanding motion II: Velocity and Time (motion sensor).
  3. Instantaneous Speed versus Average Speed (photogates)
  4. Acceleration: measurement of gravitational acceleration (photogates)
