System Type describes your preference for the kind of environment in which your RF Class will be run.
An Open Class System is one in which the RF Clickers are typically student-owned and remain in the student's possession. They are used by the students to join any Open RF Class in any classroom where PRS is running. Students must select and join the Open Class every time it is started.
A Closed Class System is one in which the RF Clickers are school-owned. These Clickers usually stay in the classroom and are configured (RF Menu option) so they will find and join only the RF Class to which they have been bound. When this System Type is selected, the Set Class ID button is activated in the Receivers Section of the dialog. The Class ID set here is assigned to the RF Receiver. The classroom RF Clickers are then configured as Closed or Closed Loaners, which links or binds them to the Class ID. When a Closed Class is started, the RF Clickers automatically find and join it.
Normal Clickers will not see a Closed Class during the autoscan, and Clickers configured as Closed will only find the Closed Class to which they have been bound.
