Signatures of QGP in PHOBOS
Temperature scale:
Temperature and energy density will be reflected in the Pt distribution. Large-scale collective effects should be reflected as a low Pt enhancement.
Time and distance scales:
High precision Hanbury-Brown Twiss (HBT) correlations at low Pt. will allow us to determine the relevant time and distance scales.
Flavor composition:
The ratio of strange to non-strange quarks (e.g. measure K/p ratio) is expected to be higher in the QGP than in purely hadronic matter.
