Stability
Description:
A rectangular block is balanced on a cylinder. If the distance between the
base of the block and its center of gravity is less than the radius of the cylinder,
the system is stable and the block will balance. If the distance from the
base of the block to the center of gravity is greater than the radius of curvature,
the system is unstable.
