Experiment Mb-19

Launch Angle Trajectory

Description: A spring-loaded gun releases a ball with the same initial velocity on each launch. The launch angle is varied to show the effect of launch angle on the range of travel. Conditions for maximum range can be demonstrated. Also, two different launch angles can be shown for smaller ranges. This demonstration is often used with a target at a different height than the ball's initial height. Click here for a computerized version of the experiment.
