Weight of a Mass
Description: A
weight is hung by a string and held in equilibrium with a spring balance.
The string is cut to remove the equilibrium force, and the mass has the acceleration
'g' of gravity.
The
weight being held by the string on a spring balance. Notice that the scale
reads about 10 kilograms.
The
string is about to be cut.
After
the mass is cut free and falls at an acceleration of 'g' the scale returns to
zero.
