Experiment Fj-01

Bernoulli Tubes

Description: A glass tube with a constriction carries a stream of air, provided by a vacuum.  A water manometer connected between the constriction and the larger diameter sections shows the pressure is lower in the constriction where the air velocity is high.

Setup of tubes. Hose will connect to vacuum.

Tubes before air flow.  All pressures are equal.

Tubes during air flow.  Middle tube has a visibly higher level of fluid, lower pressure.

Materials: Bernoulli tubes setup, vacuum
