LR Time Constant
Description: A
1.5 volt source, a resistor and an inductor are connected in a circuit with a
special switch to prevent sparking. The time constant is observed both on energizing
and de-energizing the circuit. The voltages across the resistor and the inductor
are observed with a dual trace oscilloscope.
