Experiment Ed-06
Discharge of a Capacitor
Description: An
electrolyte capacitor is charged with a battery. It is then discharged through
the resistance of a multirange meter. The time constant (product of the meter
resistance and the capacitance of the selected capacitor) is adjusted so that
the voltage on the meter can be read to determine the time constant of the discharge.
