The final years.
¥In 1952 Einstein was asked to become the second
president of the State of Israel.
Einstein declined stating that he was deeply touched by the offer, but
did not feel suited for the position.
¥Einstein died in 1955 while preparing a draft
for a television appearance celebrating the 7th anniversary of the creation of the State
of Israel.
