What are the goals of recitations and labs?
Goals:
- Support the material discussed in the course.
- Discuss problem solving strategies, and if needed, solutions of assignments and exams.
- Provide hands-on experience with the concepts discussed in the course.
- Provide students with whatever support is needed to ensure they succeed in the course.
Assumptions:
- Just listening, memorizing, and problem solving are not the best approaches to learn science.
- Learning science requires active mental engagement.
