PHOBOS Time-of-Flight Test Facility

Black box used for source test of the PHOBOS time-of-flight scintillator.

Side view of the test setup of the PHOBOS scintillators. The source is mounted on the right-hand side of the right collimator. A small start scintillator with its two PMTs is mounted inside the collimator assembly. The source and start-detector assembly is mounted on a moveable rail system and allows us to carry out detailed studies of the position response of the PHOBOS time-of-flight segments.
