Mass and width of the ? meson

• If the ? is moving slowly in hadronic matter (low pt), it will decay within fireball (c???~ 45 fm/c).

• ??? K+K- advantages:

• High branching ratio (49.1%)
• Low Q value (Kaon momenta sensitive to ? mass changes)
• Kaons are easy to detect

• ??? K+K- disadvantages:

• Kaons interact with the hadronic medium
