Impact Parameter
Description: The
instructor sits on a stool which in turn is placed on a rotating platform. A student
throws a bag of lead shot to the instructor, directed off the axis of the rotating
system. When the instructor catches the bag, he will start to rotate. The instrctor
may also throw the shot bag with a sidearm throw to change his angular momentum.

Catching
the ball of lead shor causes the stool to rotate.
