Rotational Energy
Description: A
large yo-yo is hung by two strings. The yo-yo is wound up in the string.
When the string unwinds from the axle and converts the gravitational potential
energy to kinetic energy of rotational and a very small amount of translational
energy. When the yo-yo reaches the bottom, the string rewinds and allows
the kinetic energy to be restored as potential energy.
