Elastic Collisions with Air Carts
Description: Two
identical air track carts are fitted with loops made of clock spring steel so
that they can collide elastically. One or both of the carts are given an initial
velocity towards the other cart. Since the carts are identical, they have the
same mass. Weights can be added to one or both carts to change the results of
the collision.
