Tightening a Hammer Handle

Description: A hammer handle or axe handle may be tightened by holding it so that the hammer head is pointing down. Tighten by hitting the upper (usually wooden) pounding on the far end of the loose handle.

 

Two hammers

 

Hit the end of the loose hammer to make the handle tighter.

 

 

Materials: 2 hammers (1 with loose handle)
