Central Acceleration

Description: A bucket is filled with water and swung around in a vertical circle.  The water remains in the bottom of the bucket when the central acceleration is greater than or equal to the acceleration due to gravity.

This bucket of water is being swung over in a circle, and the water does not fall out.

 

 

Materials: Bucket, water, person to swing bucket
