Compressibility of Water
Description: A heavy walled glass container is filled with water. An object that will float on the water is dropped in the water.
The glass container is sealed with a rubber covering. When the top is pressed
down, the object in the water will sink.
Glass
container with an objecct floating in it.
Make
sure that the container's top is completely sealed as shown in the picture above.
Materials: Glass
tube, thin rubber covering, water, floating object.
