Experiment Fa-02

Pascal Vases

Description: Differently shaped vases are hooked up to a hose and a beaker of fluid.  When the beaker is raised, the fluid level becomes even in the vase and beaker through the hose.  A pressure gauge measures the pressure in the vases to show that the pressure depends on the depth and not the shape of the vase.  There is also a rod to hold the position of the level of fluid so that the level will always remain the same, no matter the pressure.
