Direction of Induced Currents

Description: A bar magnet is moved into and out of a stationary coil connected to a galvanometer. Deflections of the galvanometer are measured for various motions and polarities of the magnet.

 

Material: Bar magnet (left), coil on stand (center) and galvanometer (back).
