Repulsion and Attraction
ping-pong balls, coated with silver conducting paint, are suspended by nylon
strings to independent supports. The balls may be charged with like charges (with
either an ebonite or glass rod) to show repulsion. If they are uncharged and
then separated while in the electric field of a charged ebonite or glass rod,
they will attract each other.
